🌊 Fellowship of Alberta Bears – Floating on the Bow 2025

Duration: Until we reach the end (approx. 2–4 hours, depending on river flow)

Join the Fellowship of Alberta Bears for our annual summertime float down Calgary’s beautiful Bow River! It’s a relaxed, sunny day on the water with friendly faces, inflatable fun, and the gorgeous Alberta scenery.

Bring your own floatie or rent everything you need from our friends at Lazy Day Raft Rentals — they’ve got tubes, rafts, and all the gear to keep you safe and comfortable. Visit lazydayraftrentals.com to reserve in advance.

Whether you’re floating solo or tying up with a crew, it’s all about enjoying the ride with fellow bears, cubs, chasers, and allies in a supportive and inclusive community setting.

What to Bring:

• Your own inflatable (or rent from Lazy Day Raft Rentals)
• Life jacket (required by law)
• Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses
• Water shoes or sandals
• Snacks and water (no glass containers)
• Dry bag for valuables
• Rope if you’d like to tie up with friends

Important Notes:

• Launch is at 11:00 AM sharp – please arrive on time.
• Stay up-to-date with weather and river conditions.
• Help keep the Bow clean — pack out what you pack in.
• Stop at Edworthy Park for a rest, snack, or some ice cream!
• A post-float social may follow — details TBA.
