Bear Necessities

The Fellowship of Alberta Bears has a number of values that we expect members uphold when they attend our events.   We call these values the Bear Necessities as they are the foundation of our society and community.  

FAB events are known for having an open and welcoming atmosphere.  We strive to be better and more inclusive than bear groups have been historically. 

Members who are found to be in violation of the Bear Necessities may be asked to leave an event or have membership revoked.

To receive as they are, without need for change or judgment

To assist and be humble with your time and efforts

To keep a calm and clear mind, to remember the bigger picture, to create an environment of caring and compassion

Protectiveness

To provide security, emotionally and physically, when possible
